Vacation Thoughts:

Last week was incredible. Kel and I went to Antigua for a beautiful wedding and then stayed for another week in what can only be described as paradise. When our week was up, and we were packing to go home, I found myself excited to go back to Montana and start working again. I was in "paradise" without a care in the world, yet I was excited to go back to my routine?

Then I thought back to two weeks before the trip. I had the opposite feeling. I was super excited to get out of my routine and enjoy the sun on my face. What gives?

Our brain works in interesting ways. If all we did was vacation, it would get old. If all we did was work, then we would burn out. This makes both of them equally important. We need a balance of both. This balance looks different for everyone, but the common theme is that if we only do one of them, we will ultimately become exhausted and tired of it.
